GoPro Featured Photographer - @waterlust About the shot: Race to Alaska. Friends Tripp and Chris Burd decided to sail the 750 mile, “anything goes” Race to Alaska in a beach catamaran! It took them 10 days and despite freezing temperatures and gale force winds, they made it! To document their epic journey, we equipped them with a dry bag full of GoPros and just like rationing food, they were only allowed one camera per day. The guys had really cold hand most of the time and fumbling with the camera while blasting upwind at 15 knots would have been dangerously distracting. Camera Settings: We chose to shoot Chris and Tripp's entire adventure in 4K at 24FPS mode because of the resolution and ability to pull still images from the video. With GoPro Studio it makes it easy to pull stunningly beautiful screen grabs that are good enough quality for print! It really is the best of both worlds, video shooting where each frame is essentially a photograph! #GoPro #sailing #Alaska
