Forty years ago I started photographing Cuba (Kansas), a town of 300 people struggling to survive. Betty Klauman was one of the first I pictured, with her new batch of geese. Well, Cuba is still going and this week they celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Rockathon, their fundraiser which features rocking in rocking chairs around the clock for a week. (They've raised over half a million dollars this way over the years.) We featured Cuba in the May 2004 issue of National Geographic. Congratulations from your biggest fan.
