Poto keindahan dunia dari mata lensa kamera - February 28, 2015 at 01:43PM

Photo by @shonephoto (Robbie Shone) - Suspended on a thin rope, engulfed in cloud and lost in time, a tiny figure is dwarfed by the sheer size on a monumental scale of Cloud Ladder Hall in the Quankou Cave system in Chongqing Municipality of China. The beam of light cast by another cavers head torch pierces the fog yet illuminates nothing. Cloud Ladder Hall at around 51,000 square meters (167.323 sq/ft) is one of the biggest underground cave chambers ever discovered and is so large that it has it’s own weather system. The limestone in this region of China is so strong, it can withstand such giant voids. Eventually though, over time, the weight of rock above is too much and it collapses, forming a giant sinkhole or Tiankeng, a huge hole open to the surface.
