Photo by @nickcobbing I'm in Tromsø researching an Arctic story and this being North Norway, it's common to take these discussions outdoors. My friend Harald brings his English Setter called Kirra along with us. The keen hunting dog still 'points' even though she is on the leash. For him it’s a good omen for the ptarmigan season that will start in early September. Summer is welcome here after the usual long winter and short spring, the snow line has moved up to a height of 400 metres, leaving the coastal areas below to turn a lush green.
