Photo taken by @stevemccurryofficial // Mt. Popa in Burma, is a pilgrimage site which is visited by thousands each year. It is a volcanic plug accessible by climbing 777 stone steps. The Buddhist monastery at the top still houses monks. The worship of Nats (spirits) has been practiced there for more than a millennium, and pilgrims make the journey up the steps to give offerings and food to the Nats.
