Photo by @TomasVH. I visited #Swayambhunath yesterday, a beautiful hilltop Buddhist stupa, and one my favorite places since I first lived in #Kathmandu as a student in 1997. The main stupa structure survived the #NepalQuake, but the surrounding monasteries and buildings have collapsed, damaging Buddhist and Hindu statues, like these which had been removed from the rubble.
