Haitians in the Little Haiti neighborhood of Miami dance and sing throughout the streets with a rara band. The rara group meets every Friday night at a street corner and warms up as Haitians and others gather. Then the musical parade begins. Rara bands in Haiti pop up throughout the country around Easter and Carnival time. They are a joyful release from the travails of life.
