Photo by @chamiltonjames Manu National Park is 42 years old this week. Officially the most bio-diverse national park in the world; this extraordinary area of the Peruvian Amazon is home to around 1200 species of butterfly, more reptiles and amphibians than anywhere else, 15 species of monkey, an estimated half a million species of insect and 10% of all the bird species found on earth. This week I am setting off to shoot a story on Manu for @natgeo as part of a 'National Parks' series which kicks off in the magazine next year. This picture shows a currently undescribed species of scorpion. Scorpions glow under UV light. More info in Manu can be found at www.visitmanu.com
