Photo by Pete McBride @pedromcbride // Thanks to the work of many, last year the Colorado River did something unusual — it kissed the Sea of Cortez for the first time in decades. This rare connection was due to treaty between the U.S. and Mexico which dedicated water to the river, less than 1% to restore its forgotten and famous estuary. This #delta is sand today but many are optimistic such restoration efforts will continue in years to come thanks to #conservation, awareness and better water management practices. #wilderness #chasingrivers #changethecourse #raisetheriver #coloradoriver #mexico
