Salt Ponds, Redwood City, CA. Photo by @peteressick on assignment for @natgeo. This aerial photo was made for an upcoming story about the San Francisco Estuary. The colors in the ponds are caused by different salt-loving bacterias. These ponds are still used by the Cargill company to make salt.
