British and Irish Isles: traveled again last week to the Ring of Brodgar on a morning with rain clouds coming and going very quickly. These dramatic stones were erected around 2,500 B.C., roughly the same time as Stonehenge. Always a little mystical when you try to put yourself into minds of the people who built this.
