Poto keindahan dunia dari mata lensa kamera - April 23, 2015 at 03:26AM

Photo by @ciriljazbec Early morning view from a helicopter over Uummannaq Fjord - one of the largest fjord systems in Greenland. Arctic sea ice is an important component of the global climate system. The polar ice caps help to regulate global temperature by reflecting sunlight back into space. White snow and ice at the poles reflects sunlight, but dark ocean absorbs it. Replacing bright sea ice with dark ocean is a recipe for more and faster global warming. Favorable weather conditions, good harbors and proximity to the coastal route made Uummannaq Fjord attractive to numerous Inuit migrations in the past. The sea used to be frozen for several months a year, but nowadays it only freezes for few months, threatening wildlife and people who fish and travel in polar regions. @natgeo @ciriljazbec #Arctic #Greenland #climate #change #EarthDay
