Photo by @christianziegler. First signs of spring arrive in Scotland. While the trees and shrubs still stand without leaves, the exotic looking flowers of the invasive American skunk cabbage, a member of the arum family, make an appearance. Looking beautiful the large yellow flowers smell strong and strangely kind of skunk-like, to attract pollinating flies and beetles.
