Forests are the lungs of the world. They pull carbon from the atmosphere and slow climate change. 75% of freshwater comes from forests!!!!! @stevewinterphoto If we protect the forests, we also save all the animals that live there-from the top predators to the ants and microbes in the soil. Even these microbes are important - they are responsible for the first new antibiotics found in decades.
