Sea Dragon slug by @daviddoubilet This exotic looking creature is a #nudibranch called Bornella anguilla, a soft bodied marine snail without a shell. this particular nudibranch folds up like an eel and swims away when it senses danger. Their brilliant colors warn predators they are toxic to eat. There are 3000+ species of nudibranchs, mostly occurring in tropical seas. They are #hermaphrodites (both female and male) and they live from 1 month to 1 year depending on their species. I made a special underwater studio take to their home territories and to photograph them in to isolate their beauty and design. Photographed in #Bali #Indonesia for @natgeo @natgeocreative @thephotosociety @seacam @nikoncamera #respectnature #GotoEdgeKeepGoing
