Ivory Coast is a fascinating and comparatively developed West #African state. It is the world's largest exporter of #cocoa beans, selling billions of dollars worth each year. It also exports #rubber and other valuable goods. I was struck by the country's bustling and metropolitan capital, #Abidjan, and by the highly developed road network, which was well-paved and had several, formal toll collection sites between #Abidjan and #Bouake. While the country has not been without serious political challenges in recent years, its infrastructure development levels exceed those I've observed in many regional countries. #Africa #west #economy #development
