Photo by @shonephoto (Robbie Shone) - A view into the abyss. An American explorer peers down over her shoulder into Cloud Ladder Hall; one of the world’s largest underground chambers. Although it can't be seen due to the dense fog that lingers around, the floor is over 250 metres (820 ft) below. Her echo reverberates like thunder for many more seconds around the room. It’s a strong reminder of the situation and intimidating location she’s in. However, the lure of exploration and discovering the unknown drives her on and she later rappels into the fog.
