Google “Pinterest Tools”, and you will find that most of them are useful only for businesses. Ok. I get it. Businesses need shit to help them. But, what about the sheep that usually populate these sites(users)? Nothing? Atrocious! I, Ebola,in the name of nonsense, have taken to reviewing useful web and browser based apps and other digital honors that can make your pinteresting just a little easier, without the analytics garbage.
·1. The Official Pinterest Goodies Page.
Go here. Starting with the official, you now have the Apple and Android apps, the official Pin it browser extension, and a pinterest bookmarklet. All very useful, if bland. A thing to note: the bookmarklet and/or the browser extensions are ‘hidden’-look for the link in the “Looking for the Pinterest bookmarklet?” line to see either.(WTF?)
2. For Pinning Texts
I recommend pinwords. It’s fast, you can use your own pic or choose any other. The font and design options are limited, though. I made this in less than a minute.
Gert was Hungry. Vrey Hungry.
Other than pinwords, you have Quozio. Pinwords and Quozio are similar, while Quozio offers more templates and also a bookmarklet, but without the option to use your own image. I made this
Food still has not been had.
3. Capture Screens And Pin Them
I recommend the browser extensions ShotPin and Pin My Screen. They are awesome at what they do.
Not much to say except that it’s simple. Doesn’t take much resources to work, either.
Works cooly, if with some minor hijinks.
4. Search And Discover Pins
Pin search is a wise decision for all your search or exploring needs.
Pin search official description:
This extensive adds a ‘Search’ button that only appears when you hover over a picture. This extension leverages the power of Google Search by Image to give you a wealth of information about any picture you find on Pinterest. Find similar pictures. Find all the websites where the picture appears. Find out about the designer, author, chef, photographer who created the picture. The Google search results may surprise you. Get ready for a whole new level of discovery.
5. Enhance Your Pin Viewing, Or Lifehacker Them
Pinterest Image Expander magnifies an image as you hover over it. Cool, eh? Here is a video:
Then there are Pinstamatic and Ribbett that are on their own level. They both are very powerful apps, that do a lot of the things you see above you all by themselves. You’ll have to explore them by yourself to gain an understanding. See you there.
