On this night, for the first time in many months, the sun will not set again until the fall. Sun dogs, also known as phantom suns are an atmospheric phenomenon where sunlight mixes with ice crystals creating bright spots around the sun. I was excited to have it add an extra dynamic to the already beautiful situation.
