Editing my work from a few years ago, I came across this Polaroid of a #lowlandmountaingorilla ’s hand. I was working on a @natgeo story about #evolution — #WasDarwinWrong. I was able to work with #ToddJames, @powellbethany and @davidcoventry on this important story. I was showing that though we are different in appearance, our close relatives in the primate family possess some striking similarities. Interestingly, this picture was an opportunity — I took this picture while the gorilla was under anesthesia for an operation. @robertclarkphoto @natgeo @instituteartist @thephotosociety
