Photo by @haarbergphoto (Erlend Haarberg) We spent the last ten days in the #Sarek National Park in #Sweden, photographing ptarmigans. As we feared would happen, the movement of the birds was unpredictable in the landscape covered by deep snow. We had some lucky moments when we spotted them - if they were close we saw only the black eyes and bills moving in the snow. When the weather forecast showed that a lot more snow is about to come, we decided to leave a few days earlier than planned. After nearly two months traveling in North-Scandinavia, we returned home yesterday.
