The British built and Pakistani maintained canal systems for irrigation are among the largest in the world, however, according to a recent NY Times article, Pakistan is struggling for water, in part due to global #climatechange. “In a report published in 2013, the Asian Development Bank described Pakistan as one of the most “water-stressed” countries in the world, with a water availability of 1,000 cubic meters per person per year.” @everydayclimatechange #watercrisis #pakistan #water
