Photo by @shonephoto (Robbie Shone) - China contains vast amounts of unexplored areas of limestone, where the potential to discover previously unknown caves is great. An explorer (pictured) ascends a rope back to the surface after completing another successful day underground exploring the labyrinth system known as Er Wang Dong in the Municipality of Chongqing. The cave is so huge it has its own weather system and that the local people make there weather forecasts based on the observations inside this giant Tiankeng (sinkhole). If there is a fog rising from the cave, rain is expected.
