I’m so fortunate to work for a magazine that values new and original coverage. Congratulations to the @NatGeo for the winning the award for the best tablet edition of a magazine and the award for best photography of any magazine at the National Magazine Awards last night in NYC. The photography award honored issues of the 2014 magazine that included articles on Indigenous tribes in the Amazon, #zombie parasites, feeding a growing world and the science of the #humanbrain. An interesting point was made by the editor in chief of the magazine when accepting the award, “We are delighted that a magazine founded in 1888 is excelling on all platforms.” The digital revolution moves on. I’m proud that some of my work on the human brain was included in the submissions for the award. These complex kinds of stories would be impossible to do with out amazing photo editors like #KurtMutchler. Kurt navigated the hard to understand story and helped me to get “my head around it” and try to make some interesting pictures. Thank you Kurt @thephotosociety @InstituteArtist @RobertClarkphoto
