Photo by @BrianSkerry A Caribbean reef shark eats a lionfish on a coral reef in Honduras. Lionfish, a species native to the Pacific Ocean, were introduced to the Atlantic some time ago and have become an invasive species, preying on many other species of fish. Off the island of Roatan, shark biologists have helped sharks acquire a taste for lionfish and natural predation may now be reducing lion fish populations in this region. @thephotosociety #sharks #honduras #lionfish #predation #invasivespecies
