Photo by @shonephoto (Robbie Shone) - The Wulong Karst in southern China is well known for its giant dolines (sinkholes), natural bridges and caves. Although adventurers have gone deep underground to discover perviously unexplored caves, some are already known about by the native people. Our team of American explorers were shown the entrance to this cave by a local farmer (pictured), who guided us through as far as this skylight. Local knowledge and support is always really important during an expedition.
