Photo by @shonephoto (Robbie Shone) - This spider, approximately 4 inches long has made it’s home inside one of the largest caves in the world - Deer Cave in Mulu National Park, Sarawak. In fact, there are spiders similar to this one on almost every handrail along the walkway running through the cave. Waiting for flies and small insects to get caught in it's web. This spider is known as a troglophile. It is a cave-dwelling animal that may complete its life cycle in a cave, but can also survive in above ground habitats, which is why it has retained pigmentation along with it’s eyes.
